 Recruitment Specialist

 The District Municipality of Muskoka is currently looking to add a Recruitment Specialist to our HR Team for a contract term of up to 12 months. In this role, you will be responsible for full cycle recruitment for a specified corporate client group. This means you will coordinate the staffing processes for unionized and select non-union positions including: preparing staffing requisitions and job postings, determining effective advertising mediums, screening resumes, coordinating and participating in interviews, initiating background checks, preparing employment letters and new hire documentation. We need an individual who is comfortable making recommendations to HR Management regarding recruitment programs and attraction methods for filling specific jobs and can also help to expand and maintain the relationships we have with schools and other sources for high quality applicants. Outside of recruitment activities, you will help to provide administrative support and coordination, including confidential correspondence and scheduling, for the HR team and assist in the coordination and implementation of various HR special projects and assignments.

What are we looking for from you?


On the practical side, you are a graduate of a three (3) year post-secondary program, preferably in Human Resources. You will have a minimum of two (2) years of HR experience, ideally in a unionized environment. You will be very comfortable with technology (Word, Excel, Internet, Web-based applications, HRIS) and you will have a thorough knowledge of recruitment and selection practices. Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within changing environments will be skills you will be able to show us you possess – but at the same time, you need to also display how you are able to manage your workflow and still meet deadlines.

 The Annualized Salary range for this non-union staff position is: $ 54,598 - $ 64,281
